Global Hub Port, BPA

Greetings from CEO

Welcome to BPA

We will make the Port of
Busan a leading hub
port of Northeast Asia.

Welcome to the website of Busan Port Authority

The Authority was established in January 2004 to turn Busan Port into a global shipping and logistics hub and contribute to the national economy.

Despite the recent recession in the maritime industry and the spread of COVID-19, the port became the 7th busiest port in the world, handling 21 million TEU per year, and the 2nd busiest transshipment port. In addition, we plan to become a global logistics hub port that handles more than 30 million TEU a year by 2030.

Furthermore, we want to secure new port infrastructure in a timely
manner, carry out the North Port Redevelopment Project to boost the
local economy,

improve the efficiency of port operation, and establish a smart and green port to strengthen the competitiveness of Busan Port.

In addition, we would like to lead innovative growth in the digital, environment, and safety areas through the BPA’s New Deal strategy and create social values based on cooperation and shared growth with the local community and Busan Port’s users.

I ask for your continued interest and encouragement.

Thank you.
